| To prepare you for the CollabTech hands-on day, Adobe, in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University, is offering three online workshops for the Case Western community. Designed to familiarize the beginner with Adobe creative tools to be used at the hands-on event, each workshop is a standalone 90-minute web session. To participate, log in to the Adobe Connect™ session, and then listen via computer or dial in to the audio-conferencing line. Sessions will be recorded and available to the campus community afterward. |

Since images are crucial to story telling in today's world, we will see how it is actually quite easy to use the professional's choice, Adobe Photoshop® CS5, to create and edit images that are designed to have impact. Simply put, it is not as hard as it might first seem.
During this session, we will take a look at ways you can start working with Photoshop right away. You'll walk away understanding how to manage files, and what file formats you should use. You'll see how layers allow you to create composite images like a professional—and how to cut an image out of a background. Finally, we'll see how to use some of the automated tools for creating panoramas and web galleries with your images. |
